Equitable capacity is key to accelerating global progress in sustainable management and use of the ocean, functioning as a baseline for nations to overcome current and future crises and share benefits fairly. In this context, this side event is a Call for Global Ocean Capacity Development action, opening the opportunity for ongoing multi-stakeholder collaborative initiatives to showcase solutions and discuss integration of a joint roadmap towards the implementation of the UNESCO IOC Capacity Development Strategy 2023-2030.
